A journey towards perpetual mindfulness begins from within. CPTSD triggers and disenfranchised grief are acute obstacles known to imbalance wellbeing and interrupt our focus on mindful living. Pairing QiGong, Yoga, photography and contemporary crafting not only encourages but provides, adaptive and creative coping to thrive and shift towards a healthy introspective paradigm.
Sincere gratitude to Helpful Changes, Special Olympics, Ideal-Way, LHSC, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, Autism Ontario London Chapter, London Abused Women’s Centre, Fanshawe's CICE Program, UWO, Children's Aid Society, PPOC, and JENN Photography for their years of goodwill.
”Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Picasso
Time has a way of disappearing when I hold a camera or visit a gallery. Exploring photography for self expression has been my go to creative coping tool for over 30 years. It reminds me to let go of what I can’t control and keep my focus where I need it to be.
Crafting with different mediums is my version of adaptive coping. In times of overwhelm, I can assess where I am, where I want to be and use the right media to regain focus..
Creative activities I have used to explore, express and evolve will be shared soon. Please check back.
